Value and where to sell? 1917 DWM MILITARY ARTILLERY
I've had this 1917 military artillery for several years now but due to some recent issues, as well as inheriting 183 firearms, I'm looking to separate with it, sadly. What's the best route to take in finding a potential buyer and what should be the lowest I'd accept? I have a price in mind based off of blue book, but it's an out of date version. Anything helps and TIA. Pm for my number if it's not to be discussed on this forum. I'm easier to get ahold of texting because I'm constantly working but I'll try my best to answer calls

Welcome to the Luger Forum !
That's is a very handsome grouping. It looks like you have a nice 1917 LP.08 with a matching stock! You will want to post more closeup photos of everything. The holster and cleaning rod, in particular. It looks like you have a correct wood bottom magazine, with a different number (1575 a ?) You clearly have the serial numbers nicely displayed. BBGV is a good starting point, but their classifications are based on finish condition, which is not as important with lugers. Original finish is prized, instead and rifling isn't that critical, either. But, without seeing better photos (better lighting and close-ups of the acceptance marks), I would say your kit is probably worth around $8-10k. That matching shoulder stock is quite impressive, if it's authentic. P.S. You may want to remove your personal phone number and just share in messages. |
