Default Western C 96 Holster made

Local friend that owns a saddlery made this for me.... I really like the western themed holsters for Lugers/Mausers made in the 20's/30's. Very pleased.

The Western connection makes me think of a John Wayne movie in which one of his character''s sons used a Broomhandle. I can't remember the name of the film...

Maybe it was "Big Jake". I think it was a Bergman instead of a Mauser.. Eastwood used a Mauser in "Joe Kidd". Please correct if I am misremembering.

I just did a search. Joe Kidd did have a C-96 Mauser and in Big Jake they used a P-38 that was made to look like a Bergman model 1911.

Great day at the Skeet range today. Spent a full day shooting muzzleloading shotgun with an original Moore and Harris 10 gauge.

Woody,
I've never handled a BP shotgun or seen one used in person.... I have two nice flintlocks tho and that is a great deal of fun.
I think the Mafia got the original name 'the black hand' because they used muzzle loaders
