Default Does this sale look legit to you

Looks hinky to me.... underpriced and he has a broomhandle for sale also that appears low to me? That and the lack of sales...

Looks like a scam to me. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

The sale was ended with no sale so I suspect someone recognized the pics and reported it....

It looks like a 1917 DMW LP.08 to me.
I can't see anything wrong with it.
The photos are not the best, but what is there seems correct to me.
If I didn't already have one, I might be looking at, but I don't like auction drama.

What really worries me is no description or details from the seller. They only have only 2 transactions recorded, although both were high ratings. That part makes me uncomfortable, so I would be contacting the seller with questions and asking for a 3-day non-firing purchase with full refund if it's not what it appears to be. He did say it's all matching, including the magazine.

I paid $2,000 for one just like it in 2015. It's been one of my favorite lugers, too.

Also, I'm not aware of any rule or protocol that prohibits posting a link to an active auction.
People do that all the time.

Thanks on the protocol issue, some sites don't allow ongoing auctions...otoh, this one has been pulled.
1600 bucks in 2023 is a tad less that 2k 8 years ago... I believe it was a scam and was taken down.
If you contacted the seller and it was a scam he'd tell you anything....not an unknown event on Gunbroker or other sites.
I believe a member here was recently scammed to no avail.

I can't think of an easier site to get scammed on. Buy something and send a Money order?

Jerry's right, unlike a Cashier's Check there is no way to identify who cashed a Postal Money Order.

This is the same pistol that was hijacked not long ago on GB, and it is pictures from a user on this forum. The pistol was advertised for sale on this forum back in May of last year by the member 'vesuvio'...his account on GB was hacked and two different pistols of his were advertised on GB by said hacker. Another forum member here bit on it and sent a money order, with predictable results. It looks too good to be true because it is...someone else has now seemingly hijacked the same pictures in an attempt to continue the scam.
