Italian proofed luger
At last weekend's Louisville show, I picked up an interesting 1937 S/42 S/N 3223 NS matching PO8 top assembly. The barrel is original, but has been neatly relined to 7.65mm and marked on the bottom with a post 1950s Italian proof house five pointed star in a circle over a shield containing crossed rifles. I suspose that this was done to make it legal to own in Italy, as 9mms are reserved for the military. TH
