VERY Rare and unusual, 9mm Simson & Co NAVY
This is a very rare Navy that was ordered in 1932, along with the Sneak (DWM blank toggles), they were ordered by the French Embassy in Israel (ordered special because Simson & Co was a Jewish company and they wanted to support the new state of Israel in 1932).
Very rare, very unusual and minty. Particulars: 9mm barrel & Navy toggle made by the mad Russian Eugene Golubtsov Fabrication and testing conducted by the insanely talented American Gerald Tomek (GT) Simson Frame and Toggle train supplied by the prevaricator Edward Tinker |

Great story Ed, but the "State of Israel" didn't exist in 1932.

I was thinking 1949, but 1948 sounds about right also

My FN manufactured Hign Power (1990 production) served in Israel before reaching me via surplus channels...
Here's the property marking:

What kind of gun oil do you use that makes it taste "minty"? Just curious as I never lick my Lugers.

Peppermint Oil works best for both purposes in my experiences.

I believe the story. That is a rare Likud cavalry saddle from the pre British liberation confirming the provenance.

Yes...There was a bottle of it someplace here...In my kitchen...Along with a bag of cotton balls...Now I recall something...I had researched a problem I was having, a recurrent one...Something to do with...mice??? I don't remember what the problem was...Or if the Peppermint Oil solved it... Does the 'mice' connection sound right??? It couldn't have been guns...Or it wouldn't be in my kitchen...
