Raquel Welch has been my "fav" since I saw her in One Million Years, B.C. and Fantastic Voyage. I was about seven or eight. Hottie!

I was in Nam in 68 with the 173rd as an acting Infantry Platoon leader chasing the enemy. Bob Hope and his entourage were just a dream for us. Ninety percent of the attendees were what we knew as REMF. The boys in the bush didn't stand a chance.

I was in the bush as well. 19 months, 68-70. That was my job I asked for it.
I never used the term REMF or begrudged anyone who was. I even know guys who volunteered for the field repeatedly and never got there. I think the same when guys get to dissing Woodstock. Talking about how their "Woodstock" was on a M 14. Silly. |

Christmas 1966, Long Binh, Vietnam. Bob and his entourage took the stage just outside of 2nd Field Force Officer's Mess. Half the audience were wearing blue hospital clothes! A taste of home for a lot of troopers!
