Barrel weight on Luger
Anyone tried to add some barrel weight to have better balance on Luger 1906/29 or similar, instead of changing the original in a bull barrel?

Better balance? I think when it comes to shooting, the 06/29 is one of the best natural pointers and balanced out pistols on the planet?
If you can't shoot consistent groups with an 06/29, the pistol is not at fault |

Of course the Navy Luger with it's 6" barrel is better yet, you not only have improved balance but more importantly, a longer sight radius as well.

So. The barrel on your Luger is too light, and the trigger is too heavy. It sounds like you bought the wrong gun. I would recommend a heavier gun with a lighter trigger. Perhaps a Sig P-210....
