Default B ST N on AWM Holsters

Anyone know what the B ST N on some AWM holsters means?

Searching the forum I found at least five possibilities:

(1) Bavarian Strafonstatten (Prison) Nuremberg; but someone pointed out prison is often St.A.

(2) Betriebsstellen Numer (operating set/point(?) Number)

(3) Bavarian stabswache (staff guard or security force)

(4) Bavarian Staffel (Squadron)

(5) Just another maker mark for a leather goods company based in Nuremberg.

The B ST N appears to occur on AWM holsters from 1912 or 1913. Also, at least two had infantry regimental stamps. All were tan or lighter brown.

Any ideas?
