Cartridge headstamp
Another question for the experts here. Documenting info for my friends 1916 military and I'm trying to identify the headstamp for the original ammo that would have been issued. I think it would have been 480c (9mm parabellum) but not sure if that was used back then. Anyone know what DWM would have used at that time?

DWM military would have DWM K and a lot / year.
For example DWM K 1 15. K is for Karlsruhe. 1 is the lot nr 15 is the year of case production. They are brass and packed in 16-round boxes. |

Thank you Vlim. Exactly what I needed. I'll pass it on and let him try to find some for his collection.

easy to find 1916 single rounds - 480c a bit harder
