Neat, but when I feel like putting mine in a holster for the range the leather commercial holster I bought from Bill Wylon does just fine.

Ed,
PLEASE glue a couple pieces of leather or felt over those danged rivets!

Luger P08 Naugahyde Holster by Stoeger Industries
New Old Stock for 4" or 6" Luger w/Extra Mag Pouch

For auction today is a Stoeger Industries P08 Luger Holster. They produced two styles of these for a very brief period. This Naugahyde version, and also a CORDURA® version were produced. We currently have both styles on GunBroker...

I suppose the Naugahyde material and the "Luger" embossed on the flap, in some sort of fake gold.
Entirely a personal thing, and I realize that what may seem "cheesy" to me might be the find-of-the-century to a serious collector. That's why I posted it.
Certainly hope it didn't "offend" anyone, as I am known to do.

I sort of remember 'Naugahyde' and the stupid commercials for couches made of it (big goofy creature, the 'Nauga') and the gold embossing is kind of pretentious. Maybe the Cordura would be OK, and the embossing might scrape off.

I am wondering if this was offered in conjunction with the .22 Storger Lugers, as only Stoeger can legally use that name. It would be logical to bundle the pistol and holster.

I believe "Naugas " are an endangered species, now replaced by more common plastic laminate cloth product.

I think the holsters are "cheesy" too, but they may be quite practical- if the "name" were blacked out or removed; as sometime you might want to carry a different brand pistol in it.

Now if the holster were "fine Corinthian Leather" that would be a different story.

I actually rather like it - but I'm not really much of a fan of leather (other than on women).
