Original Capture Papers
Can anyone help me find the current owner of a 42 Banner serial number D062? I have the original Capture Papers from the U.S.Army. Do these have a monitary value and /or historical value.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
One of the *wonderful* freedoms we enjoy in the last, great hope for freedom is that there is, generally speaking, no central registry of hand gun ownership. As a result, it is highly unlikely that you can marry up the gun and the papers. Without the gun, "Bring back" papers may command as much as $50, but that is u7nusual. Tom A. |

you would have to start with the GI and work your way forward to track down the current owner.
The capture papers become valuable when they are with the weapon they are associated with or as part of a personal grouping. By themselves, I've never paid more than $5.00 for one.
