Swiss 06/29 safety removal
Will someone please tell me how to remove the thumb safety from the frame of a 06/29 Swiss Luger?
Thanks...Harley |

Look inside the frame for a pin behind the safety lever. By driving this pin out, the safety can be removed. There is a very nice graphic of this floating around the site somewhere. Hopefully, someone with access will post it.

Doug,
The 06/29 doesn't have a pin...that is one of the many changes made in that model. On the 06/29 you have to rotate the safety lever down until it clears the frame, then you can lift it out. That was my graphic. Thanks for the compliment!

Thank you Ron. As to Ed's question....No reason for removal at present but should the need arise I don't want to be stranded lhigh and dry.
Thanks to both of you. |

Hey Ron, what software did you use to make that sketch?

You aren't going to believe this, but I used PowerPoint drawing tool and constructed the image point by point, so it was essentially free-hand. I used to have more patience than good sense...now both are in deficit!
