The R.J.R.130. was an element of the 33rd Reserve Division of the German Army in the war.
From Feburary to April of 1915 the division fought in the battels of Combres and Les Eparges, taking very heavy losses.
May 1915 Along the Calonne trench,heavy loss.
August 1916 Verdun. Fought in the sector of Vaux Chapitre wood, suffering very heavy losses.
Attacked by the French on October 24th the 130R.J.R. 2nd Battalion was reduced to 45 men.
November 1 pulled off the line to regroup.
1917 it held Lorraine front until March 10 Elements of the division were then distributed along the Aisne front taking great loss on the French attack of May 5th, and counter attacking from the 5th to the 7th. On the 16th, the 130 RJR took part in an attack along Aisne Canal and Laffaux Mill that resulted in heavy loss. On the line until May 23rd.
August 23 sent to the Verdun front Baumont- Chaume Wood area, and attacked by the French on the 26th. Heavy loss.
Many of the replacements they received in 1917 were raw recruits, or Landsturm.
Held sector along Rheims until it took part in the Battle of the Aisne in May. It advanced thru Caury,St. Thierry, and Vrigny. Withdrawn on June 20.
Took part in the Attack at Champagne on July 15th suffering so heavy, it was withdrawn on July 20. In August the division was broken up.
