Default finally got to play with my luger.

back in Sept 2016 I bought a Mauser lower from Don on this site to attach to a chromed upper I bought off a gent on the akfiles. took it out this morning with a box of perfecta 115 grain ammo in a original aluminum bottom mag and a new mecgar mag. Ran through 4 mags without a hiccup! toggle locked back each time. I think I even hit the target a few times at 15 yards!.
the pistol is a chromed G date upper and the lower has the Mauser hump and P08 stamped on the side. I probably have more than it's worth into it, but it wasn't bought with that in mind.
I've got a 1918 dwm that I've shot a couple times, its reblued and the sideplate mismatched, its actually a great looking pistol. Also a 1917 erfurt that looks all original but the finish isn't great. I think the Mauser is the shooter. jim

It is such a great feeling when one takes out a gun that one has worked on/built and it works as desired. I have a "Heinz 57 Luger" that I put together some time ago, and it works just like I had hoped it would. I have never used that ammo, but apparently your Luger is quite fond of it.

You probably did, but good to know it worked with your upper.
I'm happy to help out and keep these shooters - well - shooting!
