See, this gun is just another proof -- many collectors actually cannot tell it's reblued, and he/she could store it for 20 years without firing a single round from it...
Be honest, if previous owner has collected 20 years, but could not tell this being a reblued item.. he/she could be in bigger trouble,,,, God knows how many other items in the collection are in this status. |

My experience so far is that in Luger collecting, knowledge + effort = "deal falls in range box"...eventually. It is "irrationally" satisfying to buy a Luger at a good price. The shooter search shall continue... |

Certain poor guns could be interesting. Not much value on market, but not much cost either. Those don't lockup thousands of cash desperately needed in daily life, no financial burden, but they are interesting items. Ideal for tight budget.

if you put a bullet in the chamber and pull the trigger, and it goes bang! it's a shooter! if it goes click it's a collectable.
all joking aside, its your first luger, its been reblued, take it out and enjoy it! jim |

Does a luger mearly become shooter if one part doesn't match or doesn't need to be reblued!! Are Teds considered a reblued pretty shooter! Is there such a thing as 'Luger Virginity'?

Unfortunately each collector has different standards. A rare Luger that is mismatched or refinished may be a collectible, whereas a common garden variety working man's Luger may get demoted for a mismatched magazine. We all have our own standards and budget and shouldn't get too enamored with the shooter vs. collectible terms.
