How Come Beautiful Swiss Appear At Half The Price
Of their German Cousin. George sold me a 1906 military and it reminds me as good as a Swiss watch!

Apparently Swiss lugers were handled much more than their German counterparts due to military use. Parts were replaced quite often which ruined (in our minds) the originality of the pistol. Some folks do not like the grip safety either. Just my opinion. 8-)

Eric, it's probably a matter of supply and demand.
Quite a few beautiful Swiss Lugers have come onto the marketplace in the last coupld of decades. The Swiss maintained their pistols beautifully, and then made them available to retiring officers. The officers often purchased them and either put them away, or then sold them to dealers. Several maor Luger dealers imported them into the USA. i personally like the Swiss Lugers quite a bit, and have managed to acquire one of each major variation. If you like precision, take a look at the Luger's replacement, the SIG P210. It makes me think that while the Germans were quite focused on precision manufacture, the Swiss were obsessed with it!

I like the early, DWM made ones, but the ''newer'' designs don't appeal to me
