Default Parabellum 29 day

Interesting day today.

A local club organized a "Parabellum 29 shooting day"
Who did not own one was lent one by the range.

At 50 metres
Something like 10-15 guns to be seen.
75-80 shooters.
More than 1000 7.65 rounds shot.

Loads of fun.

Very cool. I imagine that would be very hard to pull off in my neck of the woods. Unless there are more Lugers floating around here than I think.

I suspect .30 luger brass is a "drag" on the market in Switzerland!

"Over a thousand rounds of 7.65 shot"!!! WOW, what a used brass treasure!! Surely there are/were many handloaders there that made good use of that much available brass......at least I hope so.

I dont think it was until 2007 that RUAG switched from Berdan to Boxer so reloading 7,65 is a relatively new thing in Switzerland. That and new ammo is plentifull because it's an old military round.

New 7.65P ammo is usually readily available here in the USA also, but I can handload my 30 Luger ammo for ~ 25% of the cost of new ammo, and my ammo works great in my Lugers.

One CAN reload Berdan primered brass, but it is more work than I care to do, plus Berdan primers are next to impossible to obtain in the states.

The Swiss are a class of their own regarding military and shooting.

This is the "military" ammunition we use, in most ranges is the only one allowed.

There are not many that reload here as most ranges do not allow it to be used
