I had a brand new mec gar magazine that I tried. But next outing I will bring all my mags and different ammo.
How does lugers like the wolf steel case ammo? I think I have a couple boxes of wolf I can bring along too. Jim

Lugers are not designed for Steel case ammo.
They have an "extra" ring in the chamber for sealing purposes. After about 1940 Mauser eliminated this "obduration" ring as steel case ammo became more prevalent.

You can check your chamber by inspection with a light to see if the ring is there or not.

I'd just avoid steel case ammo, brass is much kinder! JMHO.

Well you guys are the experts. Ill skip the steel cased ammo. Not worth taking a chance damaging something. My newly built AR doesnt eject steel cased ammo. It gets stuck in the chamber. My old ar will shoot anything. Then again my ak's are built for the steel cased ammo. Jim
