The FAQ is a compilation of knowledge from all contributors here at the forum. I edit it for the forum, and have contributed some info also.
You have an "American Eagle Luger" in the M1906 pattern. I believe it's in 7.65mm Luger caliber. You also have a 1918 dated DWM P.08 Luger in 9mm Luger caliber. They both look to be in original finish and if all matching should be listed that way. I'm not a Navy expert, but I think that the note about the existence of sn 2214 refers to a list Norm keeps of known Lugers currently in collector's hands. Your Navy magazine is more rare than a normal military magazine. It is possible that someone would be quite happy to trade a proper original DWM magazine very close to your serial number and in good condition plus cash for your magazine.

Thank you very, very much Eric. Not sure how I'd figure this stuff out on my own. That document is EXTENSIVE. Wowza....
Thank you for the IDing of them! I truly appreciate your time and effort. I'll send some good karma your way. I figure I can get an idea about pricing from GunBroker. Seem to remember the pricing being around $750-$1,200. As for the Navy magazine, would you suggest a retail price? For a original DWM? Thanks for letting me pick your brain. Again, I do think I would be lost, and would have ended up putting it back storage if you weren't helping me. Lots be to be thankful for on Thanksgiving, Scott |
