Swiss Lugers at Rock Island Auction
I may be too late for this current auction but I have a question about how RIA describes their items. For example, on a 06/24 Bern, they don't say "all matching" instead they say: "Matching numbers are present on the barrel, extension, side plate, trigger, grip safety, toggle links, breechblock and the grips." Does that mean other parts are not matching or unmarked replacements? What other parts should be matching on this model? I have started an inquiry to RIA but I thought I'd also ask members about this and their experience with RIA. Thank you, Joe. PS: I would like to buy a nice, matching 06/24 Bern.

Joe,
one sees that or similar descriptions in many ads; I always "assume" it means that the seller didn't take the piece apart, and/or they don't know what is meant to be matching. Asking is the smart thing to do, other wise I assume some small part is not matching, like the firing pin or the hold open

reply from RIA
Thank you Don, I agree. Here is the reply from RIA: "Any part not listed as having a number (matching or otherwise) is unnumbered." Joe
