Posting Pics (More Detailed)
Here's a more detailed How To on posting pics here at Lugerforum...
[Last Revision: 08/22/2016] Note: Your Operating System and/or browser may differ slightly. Posting A New Thread With Pictures Go to the sub-forum you wish to post the pictures to. Locate the "New Topic" button. Click that button. Write your thread title and text in the window that opens. Scroll down the page to the "Additional Options" window, under "Attach Files" click the "Manage Attachments" button. A new window will open. Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the pic on your computer that you wish to attach to the thread. Double-click your pic title and it will appear in the window. Now click the "Upload" button. In a few seconds, the pic title will show in the "Current Attachments" section of the window. Now click the "Close Window" button, either at the top or the bottom of that window. (Please notice that the acceptable pictures and sizes are listed at the bottom of that window). Note that your pic title appears at the bottom of the window under the "Attach Files" heading (blue oval - it is already attached and needs no additional action). Now click the "Submit New Thread" button and the thread will post. The thread is posted. You are done! Last edited by sheepherder; 03-05-2017 at 12:11 AM. |

Just found this description on another forum that uses the same forum software. It seems pretty simple to understand, and should supplement what Sheepherder has posted.
========================================= "When you want to UpLoad a photo or file as attachment to a message, or when you reply to a message, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Manage Attachments", and a window will open up for you to UpLoading your files or photos. DO note that there are size restrictions for the files or pictures that you can UpLoading. It will tell you that in the window. Now, if you want to show your picture in the message (otherwise it will show as thumbnails after UpLoading), you need to open up your picture. It should open up in a new window or tab, and then you want to copy the web location of that picture (www.xxxx. etc.). Now go back to the body of your message, and wherever you want the picture to be, type in: , leaving no gaps within the expression. Hint: if your picture is already somewhere on the web, and is accessible (not private), you won't have to UpLoad the picture here. Just copy the picture's web location and you can place the image as described." ======================= I will only add that it is preferable to upload your photos here, because linking them from somewhere else often leaves the thread with no photos. Why, because many of the professional people who belong to this forum access from behind corporate or government firewalls that filter out any internet photo storage websites, so PLEASE load your photos directly to this website. The other issue is that external storage websites often reorganize their directory structure and any links that you may post to external photos may go dead, and once again your message will appear without the photos that you wanted to associate with it.

If you want to upload a photo from an internet storage location you must capture the URL for the exact photo (not the album) and insert the URL in the field I have painted yellow in the "Manage Attachments" screen shown below.
Then just click the appropriate "Upload" button shown by the other red arrow. Simple no matter what type of computer you are using.

Inserting A Linked Image Into Text
As suggested, this third pictorial How To is on inserting an image link into the post. Attaching a pic leaves it at the bottom of the post; Inserting the pic allows comment right along with the pic. First we need a suitable thread to insert the image into. For brevity and clarity, I'll use a mythical thread entitled Gonzo LP08 Project. Here's the first step: Locating the thread on the forum. We'll insert the pic between the two paragraphs. The pic can be located anywhere on the forum, in the threads or in the albums. I'll be using a pic from my Gonzo thread. First step is to locate the picture you want to link. Open up the thread or album containing the pic in a separate window. My thread is at http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...t=32947&page=2. The pic is in Post # 22. Right-click on the image and select "Copy Link Location". That will copy the URL of the link into Notepad. Now open up the post you wish to copy the link into, place the cursor in the text field where you wish the image to appear, and click the "Postcard" icon to open the image insert window, and insert the URL link from Notepad into the space indicated. Click "OK". Adjust/add spaces/lines between the URL and the text for clarity. Now go down to the lower right corner again and click "Save". The linked image is now inserted with the text. You're done!
