Very very early Borchardt pistol
If you go to the Winchester Museum in Cody, Wyoming, you can see on display a couple of early Borchardt pistols from the days when he worked for Winchester. They have six shot capacity magazines (revolving). The apocryphal story is that Winchester and S&W had a gentlemen's agreement to the effect that Winchester would stay out of the revolver business and S&W would stay out of the rifle business. Seems like Borchardt was not the luckiest guy around when it came to promoting his designs. He arrived at Sharps in time to see them go belly up.
