I somehow think that even GT would shy away from that project.....but then again, maybe not!! Only part of the number is present.

Its possible to graft in a donor piece. I had a numbers matching mag with a DWM but one of the knobs was gone. I put on a fresh knob from a repro bottom.

Sure, it could be "fixed"; question is why bother?
As an exercise in wood working- ok; it will just be a repaired base and not worth much when done, JMHO.
