DWM 2051a
Hi,
I'm new to Luger forum and new to owning one. Great site, I've spent a few hours going through the various threads and I have worked out the following: Manufactured 1918 DWM, serial number 2051, trigger and plate holder changed as they have different numbers 72& 50. Also noted no marking on the inside of the grips or on the magazine. Uk proof marks on barrel. Can anyone tell me any more, was it a police or military weapon? Best Regards and keep up the great work , i've attached photos to my profile |

Mike -
Sorry it took 5 years for you to get any kind of a reply... But it does not have the police sear safety, so I don't think it's a police Luger. 1918 DWM Luger, looks all original. UK proofs are cool; does it have a 'Germany' somewhere on it??? I don't think Mike is going to answer, but I woke Ed out of a sound sleep to rename Mike's album, so I feel dutybound to make some kind of post...

Pictures are needed to help better determine what Luger you have

His pictures are in his album (only one post; forum software won't allow attachments until 3 - 5 posts). His album pics sometimes appear in Random Album Pictures.

It may look all original but parts from at least three lugers. Good shooter anyway. Bill
