Default Aluminum Grips

I picked these up off Ebay and thought I'd post FYI. Reading past postings, there seemed to be speculation on them being made by a local parts maker from pot metal in a mold made from a set of wooden grips to a custom grip maker's project. These included an article that they were made in France as replacement parts. They don't have any markings and seem to be made from a mold of a wooden set out of aluminum - not pot metal. They also do not include a gap for the grip safety as found on some Franzite grips. They fit nicely and look kind of nifty, but as they say 'the truth is out there'...

I think they would have been even nicer if they had used the byf 41 bakelite grips as the model for the aluminum mold instead of a well worn wooden set of grips!
