flaming bomb ordnance stamp
IĆ¢??ve just been reading the past listings on the flaming bomb ordnance stamp on 1900 AE lugers. Is the stamps in these photos the ordnance stamp or the factory inspector stamp? One stamp is on the bottom of the receiver in front of the stop lug. The other stamp inside the frame behind the take down lever.

David, most of the collectors I have read have stated that this is a DWM stamp and NOT a US Ordanance stamping.
See here for a US Ordnance stamping: http://www.lugerforum.com/techinfo.html Ed

I recently also picked up an excellent early DWM mag with this inspector's mark on the wood bottom. TH
