Smile police magazine pouches

hi , I was just re- reading Jan Stills book on Third Reich Lugers , I am curious about police lugers where one agency was issued 3 mags with ther luger and another issued 4 mags, well how dd they carry the extra mags , one in the luger, one in the pouche on the side of the holster, so where did the police carry the one or two additional mags ??

please advise, many thanks, robbt

Literally a pocket

Or more likely a double pouch like an artillery pouch. But most common is two mags to a Luger...

Gollum..You didn't read Lord of the Rings? Many German's carried extra mags in their pockets. About as convenient as anything. I look at a lot of period photo's and I cannot recall ever seeing a Police photo with a double mag pouch worn? Might be some though.
