overall quality of this offering does not meet Dewey levels
- text markings not like others for font size and location
- odd cut unlike others which have soldered front sight on the barrel round
- contouring roughly polished

might be some early prototype or ?
thanks
Bill

Some rifle barrels have the keyway, I think Remington used a thin keyway on the 700 (I cut one down some time back)...Whoever removed the sight did it with a lot of heat...

Here's a Dewey front sight installed...No band, no dovetail...And no blade...(Owner removed it)...

I don't really have a use for this...But if it goes cheaply enough, I may put in a bid...(After I pay off my current purchases)...

Lotta heat...

FWIW, the Dewey barrel went for $79.99...A good buy, I think, for someone looking to make a custom long Luger...
