I Think I Found The Flight Suit Of A Very Famous General
I purchased this flight suit on Ebay years ago and there it sat for over ten years. I decided to check the name on the flight suit 'D. C. Jones' on the U. S. Army Airforce site and found out who its owner actually was in 1942. It belonged and was worn decades before by 'David C. Jones' He later becoming Brigadere General and Head of The Joint Staff Of Chief under two Presidents including president Nixon and Carter. He was a pilot with the same name in the U.S Army Airforce in WW2 where he wore this actual flight suit. My research showed he was the only "David C. Jones" in the service and could have only belonged to him! Quiet a find! With pictures http://photos.oregonlive.com/photo-e...mer_joint.html Some trivia, the jumpsuit was made by 'H.D. Lee Company', the jean giant!

Here is the Army airforce Jacket
It is a summer service dress. It was included in the lot. As its unnamed I can only say its correct for the time he served! I found a great site on U.S. Army Airforce uniform site~ 1941 to 1947 They were taken over by the U.S. Airforce when it was created! I find their history facinating~Eric http://usafeenlistedheritage.org/his...s/detail/?id=5
