I love them almost as much as the Lugers they house.

from Upper left going clockwise:

1936, 1938, 1939 (main page holster,brown), 1940(brown), and 1941.

Going to get 12 of these for my 12 Mauser Military Variations. Almost halfway there.

Wow! They really look nice! I am interested in knowing more about the manufacturers of these holsters, if it isnÃ?Â´t too much trouble, could you describe what manufacturer info they have on the backside?

Congrats on a really nice holster collection! They all seem to be in really excellent shape!

I will have to pull them from the safe and look again. Jan Still does an excellent job on showing pictures of Luger holsters from WWII and describing what company made them and where they were located in his book "Third Reich Lugers"

I will try and remember to get this info for you in a the next few days. Ted

In my opinion, the definative work on Luger holsters is "Luger Holsters and Accessories" by Gene Bender.

I'll have to second that motion; Mike Morris displays his wares 3-4 times a year at Dallas Market Hall and he has some really nice items.(for those that don't know, most of the Holsters pictured in Benders book belong to Mike)

That holster is for the Portugese contract Lugers. 4 3/4 inch 7.65mm Luger.

I have a 1938 dated S/42 98%finish with a holster in comparable condition and they appear to have always been together. The holster is dated 1937 and marked C.Heinichen, Dresden, WaA142 on the upper left rear of the holster.Rubber stamp large #10 on the inside flap.No other marks.

it looks like a potaguise holster for a 1906 m-2. it should be marked AE on the back. with one belt loop. the GNR holsters had 2 belt loops. and the m-43 is a compleatly difrent holster.

This is a holster for the 1906 M2 portugese Luger I have one exactly like it. You will not find any markings on it. Mind also came with the pin punch and barrel cleaning rod containing an oiler. I got mine in the mid 60s out of an ad in Shotgun News thought I was buying a Navy Holster, at that time all I had was Datigs Luger book for reference and the pictures looked the same. Think I paid $6.95 for it. Oh for the good old days.

John, I just shipped out a similar holster yesterday @$125. It will be interesting to see what one brings on Ebay. I'm very familiar with Mike Morris as a few of his pictured holsters are ones that I've sold him over the years.
