Z.W. with number
Hello to all! I recently looked at a 1937 Luger on Gunbroker and it had a Z.W. marking on the lower front grip strap with a 3 digit number in the 300's right below it.. The add said this corresponded directly to the Nazi Customs department?? Well, I found this to be interesting as I have (on my shooter) an original byf series frame, (marked P.08) with the same designation stamped in the same place??.. Only the number on mine is: Z.W. 317 Does anyone have any knowledge of this department or stamping... best to all, til...lat'r...GT

GT, Don Mause stated possible evidence of post war Austrian mark. Do a search of this site, and you will find some more on this mark.
