Default barrel replacement services update...

Hello to all, well, it's been a tough learning curve... but my barrel replacement efforts are reaching a zenith... meaning, I'm fairly confident I can handle most tasks at hand with the equipment I now have... I will continue to add to my tooling and fixtures, and also my skill sets if I can just remember what the hell I did to achieve success!! ....... But, that being said, I have found a fly in the ointment so to speak... and that is, receivers with bent forks or deformed and twisted forks to contend with as well.... Good news is, I can straighten them ... bad news is, not for free... So, if you want to send me your projects, I will happily (and gratefully!) take the on with my best effort!!!! If the forks need attention, I will let you know right at the git'go.... no surprises... Best to all, til...lat'r....GT

Gt, Great job on mine. I also appreciate that you had a more appropriate barrel than the one that I sent. Tom

Mine too! It might not have been the first, but I'm sure its number in the progression of G.T. barrel installs is low. If my project provided traction on the learning curve, then very glad to contribute!

Default barrel replacement!

Hi Rich, sorry, but I haven't any resources of my own to blue...When they have time and room, I have Policeluger, Thor, or Charles Danner do my work for me... and they are all excellent to outstanding in my experience...Thanks also Tom and David... I learned a lot on both of your projects... gained a lot of confidence during the repairs... As mentioned above, my tooling and fixtures are vastly improved compared to when I first started... .. Best to all, til...lat'....GT...

I've recently added a few 4" barrels to my inventory... new "made in Germany" 9mm barrels, and some nice 1920 .30 cal. barrels... and, a few used take off 9mm's..prices vary deal to deal, as I like to barter.. .. but, we now have a few options.... Best to all, til...lat'r...GT

GT,

Have you discovered the Lothar Walther Luger barrels on their website? They have just about all of them. They are pricy, but excellent.

Default walther bbl's

Hi Sieger, I'd love a barrel like that!!...but, as of yet...no one has asked for, or inquired about a barrel of that quality.... Really neat stuff though... And, it requires further work, as in chambering... still, top notch stuff.... Best to you, til...lat'r...GT

Default don't know much about them..

Their site is not real clear on where and how.. they just list them in the white not chambered... but it looks as if they also offer high quality blanks as well??...I'm sure they can do anything that would be desired.. but I'll also bet it costs a tidy sum for any or all... Just look up Lothar Walther Luger barrels on Google.... best to all, til...lat'r.....GT
