Re: how to post photos..help!!!
Yes, go to the main message board, there you will see upload photo.
Open two browsers, both on the same page, then start a new "thread", this is Post new message: Have the pictures on your hard drive, browse to where they are located, they upload them. Go to the New Message are and hit enter a couple of times, this will leave room for a message. Go back to the other browser and Copy the line where it says your picture is now named. Go to your other browser and paste the line in your post new message box. Then after posting as many as you want, post one on the line that says optional link URL, MAKE sure that you drop one set of the http:// The reason for that is simple. Computers are stupid, they give out ONLY the EXACT info we put into the silly beasts, so if you put in the http:// twice, it can't figure out where to go look for the picture. http:// shows where the address is the picture (now located on Johns server in server land and not on your hard drive) Now go to the top of the post new message (the very beginning of the message area and enter the story about your Luger. If it concerns a real story about the Luger, like how Dad obtained it, then consider writing 66mustang (ED Tinker ) and give him permission to include it in his book that he is making, an incredibly slow process, but one that will eventually be very nice, with true stories about our Dads, uncles, neighbors, etc., and their guns they brought back. I'm sure I will finish when I am Orv's age.) This process sounds difficult, but think of it as a recipe or manual for the car. One thing at a time, it becomes easy after you do it a few times. Best of luck, Ed |
