Default Nazi War Memoribilia Items

I just aquired a small amount of Nazi War Memoribilia and am not exactly sure what i have here. These were hand downs from a friends dad and i now have them. Any and all info would be helpful along with a best guess value on the items. These items will be the start of personal collection and not sold. Just not sure if there is anything here that may need insured? I will leave that opinion up to you experienced collectors to determine an overall value. Thank you in advance.

You have some nice items. Off hand, the most valuable and quickest selling are going to be the Officers billed hat, the Luftwaffe flight helmet and goggles.

German belt buckles are going for about $50 or so. The Luftwaffe billed hat is damaged, but might fetch $500+ to the right collector. The LW tunic maybe $600-$800 and the Flight Helmet, which still has the throat mike in place and the original goggles maybe $1,200 or so. The Hitler youth cap maybe $200. The Luftshutts helmet maybe about $200 and the Combat helmet about $250-$300, since its been repainted. The Flagstaff Eagle Finial maybe $150. The sword I can't see enough of to know and the other items will all be under $100.

These are collector to collector prices that I've observed recently and you can expect to pay more from a dealer.

alanint, thank you for the info. The friend i got this from said he did spray paint one of the helmets when he was about 12 years old. The sword from what i was told was for appearance purposes only, not sharp on edges but very good details on it. Again thanks for your time and knowledge, i didnt even know what most of the items correct names were. You have been a big help!!

Most of these items appear to have belonged to a single vet, as the majority are Luftwaffe. It may be possible to gently remove the paint on the helmet to expose the original finish beneath. If this were done, the helmet would bring double or triple what I quoted. Perhaps more if it has unusual decals under the repaint.

The one painted looks like an M-35/42 with it's rolled rim. The police/fire helmet shows a hole on it's top.

How about the liners? Chin straps? Inside markings?

That's because it's missing the metal comb that runs fore and aft on top of the helmet.
