A Hole in the Bottom of a Test Holster

I noticed a small hole in the bottom of my test holster. Maybe a drain hole?

to help the luger drip-dry.

actually sometimes a leather strap is run in that hole with a knot in the middle of the strap in the inside pouch of the holster. and the open ends of the strap hanging down below the holster can be tied around your thigh to keep the holster tight and in place on the side of your leg.

see this other holster for what i am trying to describe. this one has some sort of metal fixture or swivel through the hole in the leather and then the leg strap loops thru the metal.

Is this an original style for the test luger holster? Thats the first time I have seen the back of one. Pretty cool.

Its legit! The test luger left its indentations and wear marks especially from the toggle depression! Both were purchased seperatly. #6786

That is defenitly a score. Would love to find holster like that for my AE. Mine aint no test eagle, but its still cool.

I bought the luger and then the holster almost ten year ago. Never dared holster the gun! I understand these are the rarest lugers because of the harsh envirements like Cuba and the Philippines!

I think mine was reblued at some point. I know the barrel is not original to the gun, but all else is numbered to the gun. It'll stay in my collection for awhile though. Especially since it was my first luger. Never even knew what an AE luger was until then. My how much there was to learn, and learning still.
