Default Grandfathers Bracelet

I came across this bracelet that belonged to my grandfather years ago. It was among many of the ww2 items left after he passed away. I was hoping with the vast knowledge on this site someone might be able to tell me something about it or at least point me in the right direction.

Looks a lot like the "sweetheart" type stuff they foisted off on GIs in overseas PXs or souvenier shops.

Even a tourist type thing-like old charm bracelts, a link for places he visited.

It appears to be a collection of the charm shields of the major European Allies during the War. Neat!

Regards,
