Wanted to clean up the Luger a bit. Had read a suggestion somewhere that Mother's metal polish worked great for blued weapons. Tried it first on my Para that I've been carrying for work for fourteen years and the results were impressive so I went ahead and tried it on the Luger and now the pistol looks fantastic.
Also used a suggestion I found on this site to clean the grips. I soaked them overnight in paint stripper, cleaned them off with paper towels, then wiped them down with acetone. Not only do they look great now but this somehow tightened them up. Previously there was a bit of looseness to them, which I have always heard is the result of the wood shrinking over time. When I put them back on they were actually difficult to fit in place and are now tight as a drum. Now back to trying to locate that Mecgar magazine. |

I believe that Greg Cote LLC has just received a new shipment of Mec-Gar Luger mags. He is a good fella to deal with, and his prices are very good.
