I'm having trouble believing any of this one. It's difficult to believe that a pistol with such a barrel ever received a unit marking. I'm seeing a lot of strike overs on the numbers. If the holster is original, why was the closure strap changed a couple of times. Color me skeptical.

Good luck getting that out of the holster in a hurry.

matching numbers - NOT! you can see that the numbers are overstamped on several parts including the toggle...

I wonder if we could get him to post some more pics...especially of the barrel... [sarcasm mode 'on']

I have to admit - someone puts a lot of time & effort into these 16"/24" barrels...It would take me a couple hours to figure out just the math/angle and even then I'd do a test on a piece of old pipe before I'd try a full-length barrel...

Only 72 of them made, hmmmm??? Where did that number come from???...

Heh...A Luger Buntline...(or Buntline Luger)...

I tell you what...These guys with their 16" barrel Lugers have got me interested...If I can find a Numrich 16" barrel, I'll do one...

I hate to see a 1920-dated DWM with markings of the Schupo of Königsberg messed up like this. It is/was also one of the enigmatic "n" block 1920 DWMs.

Default Woof!

It may be just me...

I've never seen much point in a crew-served pistol.

Don - If you decide to 'rescue' this Luger, I'll buy the barrel from you!
