Default New collector with three new Lugers

Hi,
New here, and I have three new Lugers to learn about. The first is this 1908 dated 1913 DMW

Any info is appreciated,
Also do you folks use a chalk to enhance the stamped proofs?

thanks
Gordon

Chalk works "ok", but I use laquer stick, as chalk is abrasive.
See the FAQ for info like this; http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...threadid=13121

Hi Gordon, and welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on your Lugers. Looks like your 1913 DWM is a nice one.

It is hard to judge detail and finish on your photos because of the use of flash. Try taking pictures again using natural indirect (outdoor shaded) light without the flash. Use a tripod, and use the self-timer to eliminate camera shake.

Get closeup detail on all external markings, and internal surfaces as well.

It's hard to help much without these details.

Marc
