WOW!!! That is surprising to me that these Mausers bring that kind of money. This just makes me that much happier that I bought one approx. 1 year ago for way less than that. Mine was unfired.

They don't.....Just remember that internet auction sites are a crapshoot of circumstances. All it takes is two bidders with more money and ego than brains to bid an otherwise common item into the stratosphere.

I beg to differ..this configuration is not that common in this country. Out of the hundred or so that I have documented only 13 are of this type and I have been collecting the data on them for approximately 4 years. There are even less of the 4 inch models.

Hello Steve
I thought the Mauser Parabellum 9mm with the 4 Inch barrel and the Swiss style grip was the most common variety??? Am I missing something? I bought one of these guns brand new, back in the day I haven't shot it very much.I have to wear a pair of driving gloves so the checkering doesn't hurt my silky soft hands. Bob

No, I wouldn't but I never thought that I would pay a 1000-1100 for the 7.65mm and 9mm that I do have. I got the both of them 1.5, 2.5 years ago respectively. Had been collecting the data for about a year and a half and when I started noticing that the prices were going up and just how many of the different types were available. The 6 inch 06/73 models have been selling for anywhere from 1700 to a little over 2100 recently. Now they are out of my price range. Supply and demand you know. |
