Go to youtube and search for a Luger disassembly video. There are a number of them there and this may help you put your pistol back together.

PLEASE be careful, especially when handling the grips, as a broken part is forever..

Thanks, Alan. I did that already and didn't (so far) find any that addressed this issue. I'll keep trying, however.

I managed to find the appropriate video: How to Detail Strip the Upper Part of P08. However, even with that detail, I can't get the ejector back in. I even tried some gentle coaxing with non-marking pliers. I guess I'd better see a gun smith, rather than break something.

Try Tom Heller of Heller Arms in Missouri. He posts on here as "Lugerdoc" and is very knowledgable about gunsmithing Lugers.

I just put in a ejector, had a heck of a time....

Lesson to most luger folks, don't take them all the way down. yes, some folks say they do it with every gun. I don't and don't recommend it. A good friend of mine would tell you, but the gun may have gunk in it... true, but except for basic assembly, i think there is no reason to do so....
