Bluto..How is the right side of your G date marked where it is proofed? B/90 for example?

Default More on G date

serial number 385x e There are 2 proof marks on the right side of the reciever that look like an eagle with a 63 underneath. I don't know what the 3rd one is. There is a mark on the right side of the barrel that is kind of the same as the front one of the reciever.

I would guess you are going to be looking for an Eagle 63 magazine then.

I got one mag with the gun and it is an eagle 63 with a serial number of 8674L. The mag body appears to be nickled with no marks.

Bluto..That's good! These early nickle mags will have no markings on the tube..Simson is the only mag that comes to mind with an Eagle 6 on the back spine of a nickle magazine.

Just to clarify... There are two different types of Eagle/63. The early one has droop wings like on the receiver of your G date. The other is a straight winged eagle which is for later Mauser military Lugers.
