Wow, look at this one. This has a strange arrangement of the Patent line.

I see, so your saying someone freehanded this? WOW, all in all, they had a pretty steady hand, got to give them that. Amazing again what steps people will take to fake these.

[QUOTE=glock30;214819]Right, well what of this, again, just wondering, these look alike, this was right off your forum and said original, side by side, the stamps like identical. Can there be different strikings??NOT disputing, just wondering. Thanks you.
To my eyes I am looking at one "black" stamp and one "white" engraving, (and only the originals are stamps, the fake under discussion is an engraving). They are different in so many ways that I would never imagine that the engraving in question was made by any professional machine, much less the SAME machine. Perhaps the most glaring difference is the space between "New" and "York" on each pistol. Look closely. Still think they were done at the same time by the same machine at the same company for a production run that was so small? |

I see what you guys are saying. The first and second one look similar but are not exactly the same engravings. I have not tried to remove the white in the engraving yet to see what it looks like under it.
The serial number does look weird since it is not centered. However the number on the barrel is matching and is centered. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and opinions on this one. I appreciate it. ski |

Well if that is indeed an ingraving, the person that did that really has an amzingly steady hand, but they do it. What gets me is, the people that actually go through all that bother to make a fake?? It makes no sense to me.
