Luger Cleaning Rod (I think...)
I have had this rod for over 25 years (well, me or my Dad), and I always assumed it was for a P08. Dad brought home a 37 dated Luger, but I am pretty confident this was aquired many years after the war, and I think it's earlier.
Can anyone confirm that it is actually a P08 cleaning rod? I see the tip has been either shortened or broken off. I can see no visible markings on this. Like I said, we have had it for some time, but I know alot of pistols probably had similar rods. I know it's not valuable with the broken tip. Thanks for looking. Hi Joseph, Your tool looks like an Imperial era Artillery cleaning rod that has been shortened to Navy length. As you surmise it's not worth much, but as you say, it's an heirloom. Regards, Norm

Thank you Sir, I appreciate this. The heirloom is the Luger, this was just something from the bottle of the toolbox. Take care
