where do I start? Info on Luger please
Hi there,
So, my Girlfriend's Grandfather left a good stash of guns. One of them is a Luger pistol. I copied down some numbers I found. I found the number 1917, and in numerous places was the number 1923C. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what I can find out about this gun? thanks |

I'm certain that we can tell you all you ever wanted to know about this gun, and probably more, but we really need some good photos to start. Is that possible?

Of course. I need to clean it up a bit first. Its been in a closet for a long time. I was told by a gunsmith that if the serial numbers all "match" thats a good thing. That number 1923C is all over the gun

actually, the number 1923c should not be ALL over the gun...
at the most it should be in three locations, max Frame, perhaps under the barrel and on the left receiver, more than that and something is wrong. |

Please post your photos directly to the site. Many members cannot access photobucket from their accounts and photos placed on remote sites tend to be lost over time as accounts are closed or moved. For the photos to remain as an educational and reference source they need to be placed here.
