Test Eagle 7085

Had a chance to photograph this transitional TE with the last two digits of the serial number BOTH on the flat and right side of the take down lever. The holster isn't too shabby eithere! This rig has been in a local family for over 50 years.

Exceptional! This one stood the "test" of time as well!

I wonder what actual testing took place with this one. It looks practically unused.

I am shooting a few old guns, and to my surprise, I found it's hard to generate significant wear on the finish and bore. Of course, I did not throw sand into action intentionally. Regular range condition. Stored carefully though.

Spectacular looking gun and holster. If #6227 recently sold for just over $7K, I can't imagine what this rig might bring.

1900 AE Test Luger, sn 7085. It is in the Bannerman serial range and is unusual because its take down lever is stamped with the last two digets of its serial number on its right end and also on its left flat. The transition from right end to left flat reportedly happened at about serial number 7108. Dont recall seeing a 1900 AE Test Luger with a takedown lever stamped on both ends before. Well, I have to go get a paper towel to clean the drool off of my keyboard!! What a beautiful Luger!! I can not imagine owning that one for 50 years.
