I need some fast advice (please)
I have the chance to by this broom handle carbine thing I know nothing about at the Gunshow I'm doing. price is $2500 and it does not look like anything I've seen before. I have it in my possession and have till tomorrow at lunch(Jan 1st) to make up my mind. any help would be appreciated. Thanks. C

Even if a new made toy, the price seems reasonable to me, if old and not faked, then a very good deal? John in Montana would know more. I have seen originals like this... Ed |

Looks to me it's a pistol conversion. Real Mauser small ring carbine's magazine well is way wider than that of pistol's, and has much longer connection area between barrel and receiver.

The barrel length is another indicator. Pistol conversion has barrel longer than 16".

Got it figured out,it's a Navy Arms Rework imported in the early 80s. Not worth the money. Thanks for the help guys. Clint
