How to put the Sling?
Hi guys, maybe any of you could help me...
I just bought a Navy Luger Holster and I have no clue how to put the Sling on. It came with the Holster, Double Pouch and Shoulder Sling. without the shoulder board. The sling seems to fit in the vertical position, but it looks weird when I wear it. I didn't find any instruction at the web or youtube. If any one could help me sending a photo or scanned page of any book, I really appreciate! Thanks a lot! My e-mail is: mariotimelo@hotmail.com |

Hi,
You need the stock also, I believe. The sling, harness and holster all attach to the stock as a unit. I could be wrong, I'm not a Navy collector, but I don't think I am. Ron

Actually the straps go on the board and also hold the holster to the stock. A seperate leather strap holds the toe of the holster to the board. Does your holster have stock blocks or belt loops? If stock blocks just run the straps thru. If belt loops I really don't know how to put straps on. Bill

Hi Carlos, You definitely need a stock, the rig is worn as shown in the photo. Do you have a Navy Luger? Regards and welcome to the forum, Norm

This looks correct.
That navy board stock iron scrapping on the ground in the period photo gives me the willies! |

Gentlemen...
I THANK you for clearing up a mystery that I too have recently encountered!!! The strap included with the current crop of Navy repro holsters makes NO SENSE WHATEVER... intil NOW! Frankly, you guys have IMPRESSED me with your knowledge; I spent a couple of HOURS unsuccessfully searching the Internet for this tidbit of information. OK... so now I take the damned silly repro down to the shoe repair place, have him rip off that horizontal strap, and replace it with belt loops!
