grips on my 1915 DWM
Luger gurus,
This is my first post and I hope it's not a repost from somewhere else but at about 35 pages into this forum I just couldn't click any more I bought a 1915 DWM luger at a gun show last weekend. It's all matching except for the magazine and when I took the grips off I noticed something that might be odd... The grips are completely unmarked. I understood that there were usually two digit serials stamped on the wood. The color of the checkered wood is very dark and wear patterns are consistent with what I would expect for a 1915 pistol. Can anyone shed light on this for me? I'll post pics if you'd like but I can't photograph a marking that isn't there Respectfully, David |

Hi David, Welcome to the forum! DWM, unlike Erfurt, did not always number their grips. However, one can usually find some letters, which are presumably in house inspection marks (see photo). If you post a photo of your grips we may be able to tell you if they look legit. Regards, Norm
