Black Widow
I am about to buy my first Luger and it is a Black Widow. Need help identifying if it is all correct. It's a 1941 byf serial number 577x last letter "u". It has an excellant bore and about 95% finish with some slight holster wear. Comes with two mags FXO eagle over 32. It also comes with a very good holster bml 1941 and a tool waA 788. Anyone know if this is correct and the value of this piece. Someone told me that there are no 1941 Black Widows except for ones starting in the letter "w" block. Is this true?
Any help would be appreciated. Mark C |

Re: Black Widow
Mark,
The tool is probably E/135. The 1 has a long slash on the top and resembles a 7. The acceptance mark on the pistol should be E/655 and the tool normally is the same. |

Re: Black Widow
Mark,
The black plastic grips appeared near the -r- block of 41-byf production! The black plastic magazine bottoms also appeared in the -r- block of the 41-byf production! |
